Dinocroc vs Supergator

On Saturday, June 26 at 9pm, Syfy rolls out Dinocroc vs. Supergator, produced by Roger Corman and his wife Julie. As Syfy continues its Roger Corman style summer fun with the showdown between Dinocroc and Supergator, we spent a few minutes with Roger Corman and Julie Corman to learn more about how Roger feels about his career and how Julie feels about Sharktopus as compared to Dinocroc and Supergator.
"Dinocroc vs. Supergator" begins with a huge bang, and within the first minute I counted four people eaten by Supergator. Dinocroc ups the ante as the film progresses and it looks like he will be the most prodigious killer, until the end of the film when Supergator redeems himself with some awesome human daisy-cutter moments.

Roger Corman said Well, we made a picture called Dinocroc about five years ago, which was extremely successful on the Syfy Channel. They've got, I believe, the biggest rating of the year. And we followed that a couple of years later with Supergator, which got an almost equally high rating. So it just seemed a logical thing to go "Dinocroc vs Supergator" ... We built up the creatures, the Dinocroc and the Supergator. We had a certain amount of special effects. I've forgotten the exact number in both Dinocroc and Supergator. And we increased the number of special effects by about 50% on this picture, because we had not only the individual creatures we had the epic clash between the creatures at the end of the picture.

There are scenes that feel like direct lifts from "Jaws," "Jurassic Park" and even "Predator," where a group of six muscled, cocky wayward special forces Marine-types have been helicoptered in, hired as mercenaries by Drake to get in to ground zero to make sure no witnesses live to tell of the botched biological snafu.
