Robert Spillane Died Mickey Spillane bobby Spillane Very Sad
Bobby Spillane's uncle James McManus informed us that the actor was leaning against a screen of his apartment in New York to call out to Michael Spillane, who was down on the street, when it gave way and Spillane fell through an open window from the sixth floor in his Hell’s Kitchen apartment. “Michael was coming from Starbucks this morning and he crossed the street and saw Robert lying there,” said witness John. Spillane is survived by his wife Heather. The family is left brooding with the loss of their beloved family member.
In his entertainment career, Robert Spillane performed roles on TV's ‘Rescue Me' and ‘Law & Order'. Along with acting, Robert Spillane has also showed his talent as a play-writer with an off-Broadway play "All Dolled Up" about a cross-dressing gangster.
Spillane also acted in award-winning TV series “NYPD Blue,” “Law and Order” and “Rescue Me.” He had also played a minor role in 1999’s “Thomas Crown Affair” movie remake. He was the youngest son of Mickey Spillane, an Irish-American mobster. Mickey was shot dead in 1977 when Spillane was just 12 years old.
"He was a joyful soul with a heart of gold," said an actress friend, who declined to give her name. "He would haven taken his shirt off his back for anybody."

Mickey Spillaine is not related to the deceased or his family.
ReplyDeleteThe author and the gangster were namesakes. Bobby was the son of the famous Hells Kitchen "Westie" gangster Mickie Spillaine. If you are unfamiliar with the Westies, I suggest reading the T. J. English book of that title. It is a very engaging read.
